Playa Cristo Estepona

Located at the western side of Estepona’s Port, the Playa del Cristo is by far the most kid friendly beach in Estepona, but it’s also a great spot for adults too.

Stretching for around 700 metres, this semi-circle shaped beach means it has very shallow, clear water which only gets deeper very gradually and is normally as flat as a lake and well sheltered from the occasionally windy days making it very popular with tourists and residents alike.

Playa del Cristo is also home to two good chiringuitos, Havana Beach and Chiringuito Lolailo both of which offer traditional fresh grilled fish, fantastic cocktails, live music and DJs at the weekends and great views over the Mediterranean.

Playa del Cristo Mirador

The beach promenade high above the beach has also been recently renovated, creating a wonderful viewing platform over the beach. Unfortunately the planned restaurants etc on the building underneath have been paused, leaving the building underneath unfinished. However the parking here has been massively improved and there are numerous ways down to the beach by car and by foot. Playa del Cristo is also a part of the Estepona section of the Senda Litoral or Coastal Path.
